Hi David,

I am delighted with my host .... Dreamhost.com Sometimes they have big
specials ... and my hosting was about $70 per year for 2 years ... unlimited
sites!! And WordPress one click installs! Their tech support is by email
... and it is fantastic!! I have had people stay over on a shift to help me
with something ... and it is 24/7 support - great from my experience.

Their forms are pretty easy - much easier than GoDaddy (I did some forms for
a client hosted there). They have a free shopping cart ... but most of them
do They are a green host - so they are carbon neutral if I remember right.

Small and wanting to stay small, not be bought out.

The amount of storage was through the roof - just gigantic! The
registration process for domain names is simple as pie (well, ok, simpler).

If you use them, you could be referred by me and I would get a credit -
unless you get a fantastic deal - which hopefully you would get a current
deal instead.

I also work on someone's site using Bluehost.com and they seem fine. Much
better than my experiences at GoDaddy. I forget which other ones my clients
use ... there were sort of ok - but Dreamhost I love!

Good luck deciding!

They do have a special - looks the one I got - very very good I think!!
Look at the bandwidth and storage!!

    *  500 GB Disk Storage
    * 5 TB Monthly Bandwidth
    * Plus many more features!

    * Sign up now for $5.95/mo*
* depending on pre-payment.

To me, I would do this ... and with this special no referral, so I have
absolutely nothing to gain!

Hello all...

I've been hosting my web site with GoDaddy. It's inexpensive and basically
fine but they have a strange up front email spam filter that assumes most
incoming email that has been forwarded in any way must be spam. I'm not
getting all my mail, which is not working very well. <clears throat>

So... I'm going to have a heart to heart with them but I'm looking for an
alternative. I used Pair.com and it's great, but much more expensive than
GoDaddy. I've seen other inexpensive vendors online but have no personal
recommendations on them

My needs are pretty simple. I have a few domains so being able to host them
without large additional monthly fees is attractive. I'll be adding
WordPress for blogging and pages on some of the domains (rather than HTML
pages.) A few forms. Links to an outside shopping cart. Some download items
(mostly PDFs and MPGs.) No plans right now for hosting multimedia other than
audio or video clips hosted at www.AudioAcrobat.com Not planning on a
flash (or flashy) site.

Suggestions? Comments? Political rants? Compelling information?

Thanx.
David
