Amy,

Not sure what your definition of "worth it" would be.  It is certainly a 
very simple way to accept credit card payments.  The main difference 
between the two accounts is your ability to accept frequent credit card 
payments 
(https://www.paypal.com/us/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_display-fees-outside).  
Both accounts are free, but with the business account you pay a 2-3% 
transaction fee for all payments as opposed to a 5% fee on credit card 
payments (with a max of 12 per month) on the personal account.

As for wiring it directly into your bank account, I think that is how 
most people use it.  I haven't had any trouble with that over the past 
four years.  But I'm not a heavy user.
