My experience with government contracting has been that prime contractors looking for subcontractors can be useful. Hi Tamar, I use findrfp.com here at MSR and have been generally pleased with the amount and quality of the opportunities presented. This service lists both state and federal opportunities and has a decent filtering mechanism so that about 30% of the RFPs presented are relevant to the services we provide (which is MUCH better than what we get through the free services). However, we find that there are only 1 or 2 RFPs per month that we find would even be worth responding to, as the hoops they make you jump through are often prohibitive (as was mentioned in a previous post, you could have someone working on these proposals/responses full time - however, that person would have to be a bit of a drone as that'd be one heck of an evilly tedious gig). Once in a while though, there's something right up our alley that represents a high-probability prospect - and one that'd be worth a lot of $ to us - that I wouldn't have heard about through any other source, so I keep our subscription going. I think they have a free trial period. Give it a try, fa sure! Hope this was helpful. We are interested in learning more about bidding on government contracts. We specialize in Enterprise Search, which is often used for government web portals and intranets. Has anyone used: http://www.governmentbidnetwork.com/, http://www.findrfp.com, or http://www.ebidsourcing.com/ What about the http://www.ccr.gov (the government site) What other resources are there for finding contracts? Most of these sites charge some kind of subscription fee, is it worth it? Also, what is the procedure for finding 'small business set-asides?'
