Tom, If that ever happens again (let's hope not!) here is a little known hint about electronic circuits. After soldering, many of them are washed...in water. Of course de-mineralized, clean, hot water is used. Northampton and Quabbin water qualifies, but the water at my son's place in Ashfield probably does not. Too high a copper content. I wash the circuits that I build with an old toothbrush and hot 'Hamp tap water. Works just fine. Jim, hah...good one. i'm all for down-home solutions... i love duct tape too... one correction: an ipod does play mp3 files...it's default file is an mp4 or AAC file...but, the generic term 'mp3 player' can be used when talking bout ipods... and i know what you mean about putting all your eggs into one basket...the pouch holding my ipod, palm pilot and cell phone fell into the um, well, toilet...about 6 months ago...miraculously after about 2 days of drying out, everything was working just fine... Not sure what the moral of the story is here... but it's nice to share such things, i guess...
