She is a fee-only financial planner. Semi-retired; has a specialty in  
assisting low-income/moderate-income women. (Used to work with  
clients at the Everywoman's Center at UMass.) Very straightforward,  
no nonsense, KISS type person. I think she'll be great for your  
friend. I used her several years ago when I was at a financial  
crossroads, and she steered me in all the right directions. I've  
recently referred her to two friends who both think she's exactly  
what they were looking for.
