If you want to do video editing with a new computer, I would
strongly recommend an Apple.

My wife made this 18 min. video (about her basic adult literacy
work in Springfield) with very fews calls to the in-house tech
department.

To my eyes, it's an amazing example of how computers can be used
to communicate.  All the software she used came with the
computer.
