Weighing in on the HT website issue: I've always found the website to
be cumbersome and difficult to navigate, so I almost never go there.
But in thinking about it, I also realize that there are no websites
that I just go to unless I have a reason to need information from a
site. The only website that I see daily is my home page on Yahoo.
Even if the HT website were really hot, I don't think I'd make a
special effort to go there with any frequency - I'm just too busy.

On the other hand, I really like the discussion list. The discussions
are often helpful or at least interesting and it requires nothing of
me except reading my email. It's quick, easy, and informative. I
agree, by the way, that the dobee message is irksome. By now most of
us probably don't even register it in our brains except as a minor
annoyance.

For me, websites are places I go to research information that I need
at that particular moment, not places to go for community
interaction. What about other people? Do many of you have websites
that you go to daily or weekly? If so, for what? What is so
compelling about those sites that you make the effort to check in
frequently?

The other discussion thread, of course, is whether we want the HT
site to serve us as a conduit for ongoing communication, or as a
portal to the outside world where people looking for information and
help can find us.
