[Hidden-tech] Question about business promotions

There are 3 different issues
1. People who pay dues should get the same benefits. FOR INSTANCE HOW ABOUT
THIS: everybody who fills out a profile and submits a banner, gets
programmed into a couple of spaces on the site that randomly change banners?
The banners would change [not flash!] every 10 seconds or so. There's no
guarantee that the person you wish to connect with will see you banner ‹ but
everyone can have a chance and visitors will have
a graphic metaphor illustrating and reinforcing the image of the diversity
of the org.
Under or over the banner could be a link inviting the visitor to Member
Profiles.

2. for a networking organization to get into paid promotion is going to be a
big energy drain. It is enough have a link to a website.

3. If people do extra service for the website, like writing articles, web
maintenance they should get mentioned, get bylines or get a banner. it can
be an incentive. There is a precedent for honoraria to retiring people who
have serve and given countless hours. A permanent bio page with a link to
Amy's business is not too much to do.
