While I am sure many people would like to railroad Rudy, the Ruby on Rails programming framework is, from what I hear, awesome. My best friend is an expert web programmer (Perl/HTML/CSS/databases/Ajax/etc.), and since he switched from Perl to Ruby, he thinks Ruby on Rails is the best thing since sliced bread.
