*Tapestry Health *is seeking a part-time or full-time Development Associate to* *assist in managing the ongoing operations of the organization's development office and in developing and implementing fund raising strategies. We are seeking a person who is interested in becoming a member of a committed, creative, energetic team, and open to opportunities for growth and advancement. This position offers a unique opportunity to either an experienced fund raising professional or an individual with some limited fund raising experience to learn on-the-job and potentially take on an increasingly managerial role. The ideal candidate is an energetic, self-directed professional with a strong interest in the mission and services of Tapestry Health. The Development Associate will work on development and production of direct mail solicitations and the crafting of donor correspondence. This position will assist in the planning and implementation of donor events. Responsibilities include staffing such events. Reporting to the President/CEO and working closely with the Special Assistant to the President for Development, and the Assistant to the Director of Administrative Services, this position will also interact regularly with the organization's senior staff to identify funding needs and opportunities, and work collaboratively with consultants. Requirements: B.A. or equivalent with 3-5 years of professional experience. Outstanding written and oral communication skills; proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, mail-merges and databases; strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to work collaboratively with all levels of staff; experience working with confidential information. Preferred experience: 2-3 years of non-profit development/fund raising experience; experience working with Board members/volunteers; experience working with consultants; experience with DonorPerfect software; experience writing and producing materials such as annual reports and donor brochures.
