[Hidden-tech] Windows on a Mac

I've used Parallels but not Boot Camp.

Parallels advantages and disadvantages:

advantages:
(1) Two operating systems run at once
(2) comes with the drivers you need to install parallels
(3) Shares the network very well
(4) Runs fairly well for a virtual machine
(5) Comes with the ability to set up a local share on the mac to
     share files back and forth between the two OS's.

disadvantages:

(1) Slow when running some apps; you ain't going to run games on it
(2) takes a lot of memory
(3) Takes over your CD and Floppy drives while in use, and your mac 
can't use them at all.
(4) Claims it will resize the XP volume automatically space needs grow, 
but to date we have never been able to increase the size on the fly.


For bootcamp you are going to have to remember to seek out and find the 
drivers for XP.  This proved very difficult on the first generation 
intel mac I used.
