Hi all, With all the focus going towards the May 16 fundraiser/sales program (see details on www.hidden-tech.net) I don't want two other very important, exciting and fun programs to get lost in the shuffle. While signing up for the fundraiser (yes, there are a few seats left), please also note the following: CONNECT TO PITTSFIELD ARTS INSTITUTIONS DATE: Saturday, June 3 TIME: 11:30 a.m. WHERE: Arrowhead Museum in Pittsfield, Ma. (home of Herman Melville as in author of Moby Dick) COST: $9 for those who want to take the Melville house tour and visit the Gilded Age Exhibit FOOD: Bring a picnic lunch (some refreshments available to purchase) Did you know that Pittsfield is growing a number of amazing arts institutions? Here's a chance to learn more about what's blossoming in Pittsfield and connect to a number of the arts professionals in that city as you tour a variety of venues after a picnic lunch at beautiful Arrowhead, home of author Herman Melville. What a wonderful way to spend a Saturday in June. This is a kid's friendly day so don't hesitate to bring them. There's no guarantee that food will be on sale, so make sure you bring a snack and something to share if you like. Becky Smith owner of the Thaddeus Clapp House, Wendell Avenue, is providing the Hidden-Tech community tea and snacks later in the day. There is no charge. Here's the schedule that Peter Bergman, our co-Berkshire coordinator and arts promoter par excellence, has put together for us. SCHEDULE: 11:30 AM - Gather at Arrowhead for tour of "Becoming Pittsfield: the Gilded Age" and - if people want - a tour of the Melville House as well.
