Information Modeling
by Jean Graef, Montague Institute and Jami Albro-Fisher, Fazzi Associates
The Knowledge Bases Special Interest Group and the Western Mass .NET Users
Group are hosting their next monthly meeting Wednesday, April 5th at 6:00 PM in
Northampton. Please join us for an interesting session on Information
Modeling.
This session will be platform independent. Please bring an open mind, your
ideas, and experience to share with the group. Software developers, project
managers, students and anyone interested in software development on any platform
are encouraged to attend.
Presentation
This month we will have a two part presentation. Jean will start with a high
level discussion of information modeling in the enterprise, how to approach
it, tools available to aid design and options for implementation.
Jami will follow with a pragmatic look at entity relationship modeling,
object-relational mapping and data dictionaries. And since there is no such thing
as completing a database implementation in the enterprise, we'll also take
peek at agile methods and production concerns.
