Hi,
I use the authorize net, verisign and paypal gateways and am indeed happy.
But if you are looking for a person/bank to help keep the bank fees behind
the gateway in line I can recommend Dave Mullins for any small business.  
I have shopped this stuff for two national franchises and it gets real easy
get lost in the eye-glazing details and end up paying a lot for the bank
behind the gateway than is needed.

We have been very happy with Authorize.net/Wells Fargo.  They are responsive
& diligent in the setup process, and they even verify the first order(s)
processed through your website to ensure the customer is happy.  The monthly
fees are not out of line, and the company is reputable.  I highly recommend
them for small business.

I am in need of a credit card processing mechanism for on-site/in-person
credit card transactions and with the endless number of suppliers out there
and the varying fees and service charges I'd like to learn from other's
experiences.  Have any of you had especially positive experiences with
particular agents/banks?
