Asynchronous Programming for ASP.NET Developers - by Julia Lerman The Western Mass .NET Users Group <http://wmassdotnet.org/cs/> is hosting its next monthly meeting Tuesday, August 1 at 6:00 PM in Easthampton. Please join us for a presentation and discussion on Asynchronous Programming with ASP.NET. Asynchronous programming makes so much sense for web applications but is often tough to achieve. With .NET 2.0, there are a number of new methods to simplify asynchronous development. These can be found in web pages, in ADO.NET, in Web Services and the component model base classes. This session will examine these various ways to leverage asynchronous programming in your web development and make suggestions for which methods are appropriate for particular scenarios. Please bring an open mind, your ideas, and experience to share with the group. Software developers, project managers, students and anyone interested in software development with ASP.NET are encouraged to attend. About the speaker Julie Lerman <http://www.thedatafarm.com/> is an independent consultant and .NET Mentor who has been designing and writing software applications for 20 years.
