Hi all, We have steering committee developments to report: After several years of great service, Jeff Lander of Appilistic has regretfully resigned from the committee as (happily) his workload has taken off. We all owe Jeff tremendous thanks for his work, particularly in developing Web-based registration tools that we applied to a number of programs. He was also a very stalwart, concerned builder of Hidden-Tech. On the good news front, Afranio Torres Neto of Peleslava.com has joined the steering committee. He will serve as a project manager for our many Web projects in development, managing volunteers and helping drive an improved Web site. We delighted to have Afranio's advice, council and enthusiasm and welcome him. PR/PROGRAMMING NEWS: After almost four years of driving every Hidden-Tech program and developing most of them, Amy Zuckerman, Hidden-Tech founder, co-chair told the steering committee she will be cutting back on her personal involvement in programming in the fall of 2006. She will develop and run three programs, only, in 2006-2007 to allow more time to develop Web-based programs such as the HT blog and drive fund-raising and membership recruitment. Amy will stay on the PR/Programming committee, but urges someone else to step up to the plate as the driving force of Hidden-Tech programming. This is a tremendous opportunity for someone to develop event/programming skills and make valuable regional contacts. best, Amy Zuckerman Hidden-Tech founder, co-chair
