[Hidden-tech] How to Spin Living in a Small Town

My clientele was mostly local until about 1995, and I did worry when
I moved to the country in 1998 if the need to have a car would be an
obstacle to clients. It hasn't been, but in the late 90s my business
started shifting toward a mostly nonlocal clientele, for whom it's a
non-issue. If anything, it's an advantage, because with a $700
mortgage, I don't need to charge anywhere near what copywriters
charge in large cities (and make this clear to them). My farthest
client has been from Japan; the most consistent source in California.
Local clients are less than 25% of my business.

For me, knowing that you're doing the library thing would be a
virtue, Marcia--but I'm a library kind of guy.
