Ed, Actually, for writers, Shel's suggestion makes perfect sense. It's much easier and more reliable to do proofreading of a paper version than of a digital version, so writers finishing up a manuscript should print it out to proofread it and then just save that last version. Come to think of it, when I'm working on a book I do this many times before finishing. I also had an automatic backup system created for my computer, but I often need an expert to help me figure out how to use it!
