[Hidden-tech] ways to retrieve replaced files?

Ed,

Actually, for writers, Shel's suggestion makes perfect sense. It's
much easier and more reliable to do proofreading of a paper version
than of a digital version, so writers finishing up a manuscript should
print it out to proofread it and then just save that last version.

Come to think of it, when I'm working on a book I do this many times
before finishing.

I also had an automatic backup system created for my computer, but I
often need an expert to help me figure out how to use it!
