[Hidden-tech] Flash Will Be Disabled in IE Soon

I belive they have already released the update as an optional download. In
the next security release/service pack for IE it will be rolled in as a
mandatory "feature" of the browser.

This patent IS being selectively applied to internet explorer. Eolas
specifically said they were not interested in pursuing open source browsers,
just the 500 pound gorilla with all the money. (I've lost the article
saying this.. Its out on the'net somewhere though.)

Actually, this has already happened. Ran into this with one of my
customer's websites.

Also, from what I hear, it's Eolas selectively enforcing the patent against
Microsoft. They could (will?) enforce the same patent against other
browsers such as Firefox, Opera, Safari, etc., but are choosing not to at
this time.
