As someone else mentioned, all projectors have standard VGA input which is the normal video out on nearly all laptops, Mac or PC. The trick is what I mentioned about changing the display settings. The "simulscan" options only become available in the Display Prefs when the Powerbook detects that the video out is actually connected to something. Depending on the Powerbook, a restart may be required. What was confusing to me was that the projector would display the startup screen at first but would then would go blank. It was only after I changed the Display Pref to one of the Simulscan resolutions that the projection signal came back.
